As with most things in live these days, you can also apply for admission to the North-West University online. Simply go to our website at www.nwu.ac.za or click on the following link: http://www.nwu.ac.za/applications. I also suggest that you first go through the admission requirements before completing the application. Follow these five easy steps to get that important application in.
If you do not have a student number yet, start by clicking on the link “Create new student number”. An important point to note though is that the allocation of a student number does not mean that you have completed the application process. Go through all the steps below to ensure that your application is complete and has reached us. We will not be able to process incomplete applications.
If you do already have a student number, go to Step 2
When you receive your student number together with your pin number you created, click on the link “New application” to create your application. Here I need to stress one thing: SAVE your PIN and STUDENT NUMBER somewhere, I suggest on your cell phone as you will need it for almost all future correspondence and inquiries.
Now complete the sections. Use the “Calendar link” to obtain more information about the qualifications, modes of delivery and curricula.
Make sure that you press the “Submit application” button when you have finished to ensure that we receive your application.
Step five in my opinion is the most important step. We will not be able to consider your application without the following supporting documents
- A signed undertaking.
- Available grade 11 marks (if the grade 12 marks are not available yet)
- A copy of your matric certificate. (applicable if you have already passed matric)
- A copy of relevant results (if you are an International Students)
- A copy of your ID (RSA citizen) or passport (International Students)
- A copy of proof of payment of R150 application fee
The documents must be faxed or emailed within 10 days to the following admission officers.
